Preparatory, Operational and Safeguard Training for Environmentally Sound Disposal of POP Pesticides in Merkim Storage, 27-28-29 November 2017, Kocaeli

In the scope of the 1st Component of POPs Legacy Elimination and POPs Release Reduction Project, Preparatory, Operational and Safeguard Training for Environmentally Sound Disposal of POP Pesticides in Merkim Storage was held in Kocaeli Hampton by Hilton Hotel.

In the scope of the training, the details of the work to be carried out during the preparation work, the safety measures to be implemented, the occupational health and safety precautions have been explained in detail by TAUW company which has conducted the Merkim Site Assessment Works. The training realized with the participation of UNDP, Kocaeli Governorate Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanism, Environmental Protection Department and Fire Department Directorates of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality and Derince Municipality representatives and employees of the Merkim A.Ş. as 2 days theoretical, 1 day practical training in Merkim Storage Site.
