PCB Management and Regulation Training Program was held in Limak Ambassadore Hotel, Ankara from 3 November to 4 November, 2016 under POPs Legacy Elimination and POPs Release Reduction Project Activity 2.1.1 “Technical annex and guidance documents to the existing PCB regulation developed and implemented”.
Training Program started with the opening speeches of UNIDO Turkey Office Representative Süleyman Yılmaz and, Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, General Directorate of Environmental Management, Presidency of Chemicals Management Department, Deputy Manager of Priority Chemicals Branch Bursev Doğan Artukoğlu.
In the first day of training, Prof. İpek İmamoğlu trained the participants on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), Stockholm Convention and PCB management and PCB regulation. On the same day, Environmental and Urbanization Specialist of Waste Management Department, Sinem Atgın, gave detailed presentation on The Regulations on PCB/PCT controls and Gender Specialist Zeliha Unaldı presented Chemistry Management and Gender Equality.
On the second day of training, Prof İpek İmamoglu trained the participants on International Legislation on PCB Management and sample applications, methods and models. The training was completed after working group activities.
